Content Marketing Masterclass @BrightonSEO

It was honor to kick off Day 2 of brightonSEO San Diego. In front of a packed house, Field Vision opened the morning with a challenge.



Most brands are stuck playing by old rules when it comes to the role of content. It is so much more than just "filler", and when used right, it can be the engine that drives both your brand and growth goals.


Our founder, David Hampian, shared systems he created over the course of his career using content to drive growth at companies such as Amazon, Twitch and Pandora, including:


  1. The idea of content as a system, not an asset, and how your results will compound when every channel works together vs. in silos.

  2. Planning for culture, not calendars, and anticipating the moments your audience actually cares about.

  3. Emotion as a strategy, and how tapping into nostalgia, rivalry, or identity can outperform traditional growth tactics.

  4. Why the real risk isn’t failing. It’s playing it safe.


I closed with what we believe at Field Vision: content only works when it’s part of an underlying growth system - the right strategy, process, and tools that help brands find their first wins, scale what works, and evolve when wins dry up.
